Hello stamp friends, I hope everyone is having a good week. In 1981-1983 I was an American Soldier stationed in Schweinfurt, Bavaria, West Germany. Over New Year's 1982-83 I visited Tunisia. I was just starting to get back into stamp collecting after falling out for some time. While there I sent myself a postcard, a habit I still do when visiting foreign countries. The stamp is Scott 791, issued July 15, 1981. It shows the Skifa, a 10th Century gate in the city of Mahdia, south of Tunis. It is an important tourist attraction in the country.
