Scientific research-satellite "Interkosmos 10",launched Oct.30th,1973. From a set of 4,celebrating the 275th anniversary of the "German Academy of Sciences". Stamp issued July 2nd,1975.

Same event,upper stamps issued Dec.1st,1975. Exist perforated and imperforated.
The lower stamps were issued during Oct.1978. The overprints were applied to convert reminders with impractical (high) face values to more useful stamps for ordinary inland-use. 25 Ch.was the letter-rate at the time. But again,most of these stamps were intended for stamp-collectors. Print-quantities were rather small,so the stamps are no cheapies.

Dave, hope you will enjoy your DDR collection as much as I do mine ! I bought it last year,except of two stamps complete,without the service-section. It´s mounted in two Schaubeck albums.I have decided to move to stock-books or "Einsteck-Alben" as they are called in German.That will make the stamp more easy to access and to scan as well. As I have started the same procedure with two Schaubeck albums for BRD (West-Germany), I will be busy for some time ! Werner

I have finally manged to purchase the fourth and final cover in this series, the others are shown above. This one marks the launch, on 28th October 1971, of Prospero, Britain's only successfully launched satellite.

were issued on Aug.30th,1988.
This issue was printed in sheetlets of 4,while the set from June was printed in sheets of 25.

What I collect: I collect world wide up to 1965 with several specialty albums added due to volume of material I have acquired. At this point I am focused on Canada and British America. I am always on the lookout for stamps and covers with postmarks from communities in Queens County, Nova Scotia. I do list various goods including stamps occasionally on eBay as hdm50
