Another recent arrival, this series from Togo, issued in 1970, originally to commemorate the Apollo XI mission, and then overprinted to congratulate the Apollo XIII crew for getting back home safely:

René Hi René, Thanks for your likes. I was 12 when the first Moon landing took place. I do have some space stamps and some other covers but these are my best. My main area of interest is Cinderellas but having collected stamps for over 50 years I have an interesting mixed collection. I'm from the UK. All the best, Daniel

Two more space covers. The first one is a hand-painted cover honouring the seven Astronauts who died on the Space Shuttle Challenger. Ellison Onizuka, Michael Smith, Christa McAuliff, Dick Scobee, Gregory Jarvis, Judith Resnick and Ronald McNair. First Day Cover Space Discovery stamps issued October 1st 1998, Kennedy Space Center. The second was issued for the launch of the Space Shuttle Atlantis, STS-36, on February 28th 1990. Houston, Texas, Nassau Bay Br. postmark. Hand stamped Atlantis cachet on a tracking map envelope. Top row: Space Research 1977, S P Koroliov, Yuri Gagarin, Alexei Leonov, Neil Armstrong and Salyut & Skylab spacecraft;Sate 1978 Soviet-Czechoslovak Space Flight, Gagarin based on 1977 design. A cover produced by the Hermann Oberth Society for German Spacelab Mission D1. The Space Shuttle Challenger, mission STS-61A, was funded and directed by West Germany as a scientific DLR/ESA/ Spacelab mission with specialists Wubbo Ockels (Dutch), Reinhard Furrer (German) and Ernst Messerschmid (German). Ulf Merbold (German) was a backup specialist who didn't fly on this mission but had flown previously. There were also 5 American astronauts making up a record breaking crew of 8. Launched on 30th October 1985 returning to Earth on 6th November 1985, the date on the cover. The cove is signed by Ockeis, Furrer, Merbold and Messerscmid.

Block by The Gambia supposed to represent the outer planets of the solar systems, but quite clearly they didn't even bother to get real pictures and just went with coloured marble samples roughly matching the planets' colour:
