Forum Category's
I looking at doing this. Have category's by content's.
North America , South America, Europe , Africa and so on. This means that there will be no Common wealth section as all those country's will fall into the continents. This will also remove the World Wide Category as well.
It will make for easier searching and also tidy up the forum, as it is we have threads that can fall into world wide, commonwealth or a country sub forum. Its getting a little messy and I want to make the forum user friendly.
I have already done the North America Category which you will see has each country a forum and each forum a sub forum. I will be able to do this with say Australia and we wont lose any current forums or sub forums.
Looking at the forum its really become somewhat long and dis organised.
FEED BACK PLEASE. I understand many members are CW collectors and will not want to see the CW section merged into the other Category's same.
So I walking on egg shells.

Once you've established the Continental categories and eliminated the Worldwide one, I think we will still need a category such as "General Philatelic Discussion" to address cross-cutting or cross-boundary topics and those that are non-country specific (e.g., UPU, United Nations, etc.).

Hi Jack
That schema sounds like a winner and a lot cleaner. Besides, when one hovers over the "menu" you get a tree list of all the sub forums. The only thing I would change is to rename the Forum "South and Central America" to "Latin America". That way Dominican Republic, Cuba, and other Spanish speaking Caribbean island forums would have a home.
My personal opinion about Forums by continent is that if you do not know where your collecting country lies then you are in deep trouble.

I'd modify that to Latin America and the Caribbean so the non-Spanish speaking islanders have a home as well.

I recommend that you split the Central and South America into separate sub-forums.

I will still be around I have a hour lunch break each day and with an iPhone I can look in on the forum. I just want it to be a well oiled machine, Winter is coming and so is the busy time in the stamp world.
