I am working on a custom album page for some Singapore Ship varieties. These are not listed in Scott (do not have a post-1970 SG) but listed in Std Catalog of Malaysia Singapore & Brunei. My question is about the 1c variety. It is not listed a fluorescent but I have 2 different versions. Both versions look dull from front under UV but the rear of one is very fluorescent. If the said 1c to 75c was fluorescent then I would take the note that ordinary paper is not reactive.

angore - Going by your catalog, #368a is on ordinary paper, that makes me believe 368 is not, so either fluroescent or phosporised/band. My guess is it was made a mistake in the series description, it should have been "1c to75c on fluorescent". If not 368a on ordinary makes no sense. Nice custom page as always Al

When HMCS Kootenay visited Singapore, we docked at Sembawang & took the 67 bus to town. Of course my site to see was the main post office where I bought that set of definitives and any others they had for sale at the time. Unfortunately, they didn't have the 1ยข value. And I have never looked at them with the fluorescent lamp. Now I'll have to check to see what I have. Thanks for that, angore

For this series, I have more samples of the phosphored paper varieties than not. The afterglow is quite strong.
Does anyone know if SG lists these?

angore: what catalogue is that picture of the series from, or rather what denomination? It can't be US$ as that $10 Paddle Wheel Steamer can't be worth $70US! stampworld.com lists it at $22Cdn... I'll have to check mine after dark!

brightonpete I mentioned in the OP but not like obvious. It is Std Catalog of Malaysia Singapore & Brunei.
It is almost 100% illustrated.
