I just got the off the phone with a nice gentleman at iHobb. I had mentioned on August 7th in my new member intro that I was considering either the 3 volume Harris Liberty set or Mystic's Heritage American Heirloom (I was intrigued by the fact that it is a 3 ring binder; I currently have the one volume Liberty album, purchased in 1999, and HATE the posts).
Anyway, a couple days ago I noticed on iHobb's website that there is a 4 volume Liberty set that has the 3 ring binders. There was a big difference in price ($60 + 12 s/h for the Heritage versus $160 + $10 s/h for the Harris). I like the layout of Harris albums, and the fact that I can now lay the binder out flat is a win! The price wasn't too, bad. You get what you pay for, and I had to work all of two hours last night to get the money (cleaned a fish tank, which was not hard at all).
Transferring all the stamps from my old album won't be that much of a challenge, just tedious. It'll help me remember all of what I have. Besides, I'm also considering using stamp mounts on most of them. We'll see how that plays out, though.

Glad to hear that you're about to embark on the next leg of your journey. The next challenge will be answering the mount question (i.e., mounts or hinges? if mounts, clear or black, split back or open top/sides?). I'll be interested in learning where you end up on the issue.

Enjoy!
A lay flat design is a must for me. I use Mystic Heirloom for my US collection.

New albums arrived by FedEx today. The Liberty album on the bottom is the one I've used since 1999.

After sorting approximately 20,000 worldwide stamps I started mounting stamps in my album last night. I bought the 3-ring binder style album because I was never happy with the 2 post system; it seemed like pages were always pulling out just a bit.
Well, I guess that must be the case with all albums. The paper is quite thin and starts to tear no matter how careful I am. I've already used reinforcement labels to repair several pages.

There are several ways to combat this - thicker paper stock, get a 4 or higher ring binder, get more binders to reduce page flipping, and add index tabs so you get to desired page faster. If you have a pre-printed album you have fewer options but still move (repunch holes) to a different binder with more rings. Some put in protective sleeves.
My Mystic US album pages sags due to weight - all those self-adhesive stamps add bulk and weight in mounts.

angore Thicker paper stock would have been ideal on these pre-printed pages. The binders themselves appear to be of very good quality, but it would have been nice if there were more than 3 rings (the pages are punched for up to 6 rings). As for as more binders, it is already broken down into four volumes, and they are not very thick. I don't think having index tabs would work on this set, as speed seems to do more harm (you have to be really gentle).
