I'm Happy to report that I managed to go for the exhibition today... I reached the World Trade centre at around 10.30 am, was one of the few people who arrived early. While stall/ booth dealers were setting up their stuff, I took a round to see the wonderful display of exhibits, got some inspiration too - to exhibit one day hopefully Lot of Mahatma Gandhi related exhibits too Much Soon after I had a look at the exhibits, a meeting of a philatelic society commenced and it was open to anyone- so I sat and listened to all the minutes and talks etc.... the speaker also spoke about a request to the education department regarding adding 'Philately' as a subject to learn in school !!! Let's hope the request is granted and we'll surely have more people join this great Hobby!! I then went around to take a look at the dealers wares, also remembered to ask some dealers about a map stamp on cover (for stanley64 ) , unfortunately no one seemed to have it on cover, but I finally found a person having it but not brought it for the show , I took his contact number and will follow it up soon ... I carried a small want list of DDR stamps but no one had any...... but I did get some FDC'S of India ( I'll post pictures later) There were stalls of David Fieldman and Stanley Gibbons too , both were not open when I visited them... All in all was very happy to visit this National Exhibition and looking forward for the next one Here are some pictures

Fantastic nikhil ! Glad you were able to attend and take it all in including the speaker presentations. What a great experience!! The exhibit area looks great and those display frames - simply beautiful! Appreciate you sharing the photos :-)
At the same time, thank you for being my "man on the street" and asking about the map stamp cover...
Happy collecting!

I have a packet here, I think they are mainly CTO used but in good condition. If you can use them, just let me know. I'll add some other stuff to the packet too. nikhil , I'm glad that you were able to attend the show and hope that it was the first of many for you. I noticed that "Youth Philately" was prominently displayed on the column behind you and would like your estimate of how many "young" people (i.e., under 20) were in attendance.

Thanks..... I too like the name 'Bombay' stamphinger- thanks...glad you enjoyed my 'short summary ' or whatever tomiseksj- thanks.... Yes , there was lot of promotion for youth philately , some dealers were giving away stamps to young collectors below 10...
