I was just thinking about how every single used stamp is a little, miniature historical “primary source.” Or is that called a source document? Anyways, no wonder so many collectors are also historians. Hmmm. Kinda cool to think about, eh?

That is exactly what drives my collecting. Stamps are evidence of shifts in the relationship between states and individuals. The designs represent governments/countries in a manner that is meaningful to their citizens, and to people in other countries.
Individual stamps are selected by individuals as part of their communications with others.
