My name is Jacques. I live in the City of Whittlesea, Victoria Australia. I was handed my first stamp album in November 1968 from my father. Since then, guided by my three uncles who were all stamp enthusiasts. I see stamp collecting as a huge world wide jigsaw puzzle. Rather than just finding a piece here and there on the table immediately in front, individuals, sets and collections materialise and how great it is for me when gaps are filled. One uncle promoted the hobby by offering prizes at his local club only to win them and then donate them back! He was always advising me on how best to protect and present my stamps and first day covers. Another uncle was so generous and even gave me an Australian Album when I was only twelve years old. The third uncle also encouraged me to collect. Like many collectors, I too have an over abundance of stamps. However, I have sorted them out overtime and am always looking for stamp challenges. My latest is learning about Crociera aeriea del decennale 1993 Cinderella stamps as mentioned by cjd. 9 March 1915. . Good luck to all of the remaining stamp collectors out there and I hope you continue to have as much fun and get to keep on discovering.

Thank you everyone for such a warm welcome. I look forward to sharing information, pictures of my stamp collection and asking a whole lot of questions ( I too have mysterious stamps which I have no clue about).

Welcome to TSF, Jacques ( stamptracker)! It is great to have a new member from Australia. I have visited your great country a few times in my life, and Victoria, especially Melbourne, was my favourite. I visited a very nice stamp dealer while I was there, too. I look forward to seeing some posts of your material, whether to make a statement or ask a question.... Enjoy your time with us! -Chris (aka Beryllium Guy)
