I attend 2 to 3 bourse only shows a month. If there is a PEX in any local states I will go to that too. I go because I see things I just will never see online. Dealers learn your likes and will find stuff for you.

Went to a stamp show for the first time since the pandemic struck! I went to the PhilAnglia event which was at St. Ives in Cambridgeshire (no, not the other one on the other side of the country... ) The main floor had many sellers attending, with a mixture of world, UK specific, postcards, FDCs and even one specialising in cinderellas. I spent several hours digging through the Belgian stamps, and came away with a Davo album which provided me with nearly 200 gap fillers, and a smattering of mini sheets and older stamps which I needed for my collection. All the sellers offered me amazing discounts, and I will certainly be reaching out to two of them for some of the more specialised gaps in my Belgium collection... On the upper floor they had set up a series of exhibitions, ranging from the general interest to highly specialised single stamp discussions - very informative and worth a good browse! All in all, I spent several hours there, digging through stamps, talking with other attendees and stall holders, and just generally soaking up the atmosphere. And emptying my wallet... What a great way to spend a Saturday morning! View of the main floor: The exhibitions on the upper landing:

What a treat and thanks for the showing Chris cjoprey :-) In-person and dealing directly with the dealers is always preferred, not to mention the connections made at such an event. What a philatelic buzz...
Have fun and happy collecting!
