Very interesting. I live in Bergen, the hometown of Gerhard Armauer Hansen. But it's been some years since I wisited the lepra museum. WOW , Will it be too much if I ask for some pics or small vids from the museum? So many photos of the place are available on the www but very few related to Hansen or the medical stuff there. It will be a GREAT favor if you remember me next time you visit it and share some The only available pic I have for Dr Hansen from there:

Medical Philately Cannot match your beautiful pages shown on this thread Thought I would share some of Canada's medical pioneers through stamps Unitrade/Scott 495 Sir William Osler - Issue of 1969 Jun 3 - 50th Ann of his deathSir William Osler, 1st Baronet, FRS FRCP ; July 12, 1849 – December 29, 1919) was a Canadian physician and one of the four founding professors of Johns Hopkins Hospital. Osler created the first residency program for specialty training of physicians, and he was the first to bring medical students out of the lecture hall for bedside clinical training.[1] He has frequently been described as the Father of Modern Medicine and one of the "greatest diagnosticians ever to wield a stethoscope"(Wikipedia) Unitrade 1265a or Scott 2263-64 Dr Norman Bethume - Issue 1990 Mar 2 (Jt issue with Rep of China)Henry Norman Bethune (/ˈbɛθ.juːn/; March 3, 1890 – November 12, 1939; Chinese: 亨利·诺尔曼·白求恩; pinyin: Hēnglì Nuò’ěrmàn Báiqiú’ēn) was a Canadian physician and medical innovator. Bethune came to international prominence first for his service as a frontline surgeon supporting the Republican faction during the Spanish Civil War........(Wikipedia) Unitrade 1305a - Canadian Doctors - Trout/Penfield/Banting/Griffith - Issue 1991 (block) Mar 15Many notable contributions including Banting's discovery of Insulin

So I decided to design my own album pages -after finding none ready-made ones on the www- with all the salient infos about the life and achievements of the physician with the real physician photo if available, the colored pic of the real sized stamp and a place to mount it in. I used a luxurious type of A4 papers and a color laser printer. These are in hundreds now and I used them in my latest exhibits with great acceptance from the audience. Love to share some with you here. If you need any specific doctor page, just let me know Amir, please permit me to begin by congratulating you on a great thread, with beautiful images. You have done an outstanding job! Since you mentioned that if we are interested in seeing any specific pages, I wanted to ask about one of my personal favorites, Dr. Albert Calmette, one of the discoverers of the tuberculosis vaccine. I became interested in Calmette after acquiring this booklet pane of Cinderella stamps issued the year after he passed away. I would love to see your display for him.

First, thanks a lot for these sweet words, really flattered, appreciate it. Second, congratulations on this beautiful very rare complete pane of the France 1934 Anti-Tuberculosis charity cinderella stamp, very amazing, never thought I would see one !Here are the pages of the great Dr Calmette from my collection, he is one of my favorites too, his achievement is a milestone in the history of humanity. Also, please visit his dedicated page on Medical Philately website (https://www.medicalphilately.com/albert-calmette-1863-1933) where you can find most of the stamps honoring him and an article in English about his life and career. Please click on stamp images for full details.

Many thanks for your follow-up post on Dr. Calmette, Amir ( Medical Philately ). I really like your pages on him, and I am glad to see that you also have the 1934 Cinderella issue. I was very surprised at your comment: Is it really true that this booklet pane is a such an unusual item? I will admit that I acquired this as part of a cookie tin full of stamps that my wife bought for me when we were living in Aix-en-Provence, and to tell the truth, it was in very poor condition when I found it. It was a bit crumpled and wrinkled, and it was folded back on itself with gum-side stuck down fast to gum-side. I ended up soaking the pane in warm water, and then carefully unfolding it once the gum had dissolved enough. Now, it now longer has any remaining gum, but I was able to flatten it during the drying process to get rid of most of the wrinkles. There are still a couple of creases there, I think, but they are not so evident from the front. The pane still has a tear in the lower bit of selvedge, and in the stamp on the lower left, there is an oil or grease stain that did not come out during the soaking. Thanks for your comments. I have been happy to have this piece just because I like the design of the stamp and the selvedge advertising, but now I am even happier to know that it may not be a very common item in this form after all.

You did a wonderful job saving this beauty, it is very rare even without gum. Really this was a charity seal more than a stamp (no country name or denomination) sold by school children. The purpose was educational and also allowed to raise funds for the fight against tuberculosis (or the White Plague) at this time. I spent a lot of time hunting for the complete sheet but the best I could find is a one (block of 10) without the advertising taps and without gum also. The one you have has two of the oldest company brand names; Nestle an Suchard chocolate dating back since 1826; and this will add much value price and history wise.
