What I collect: I collect world wide up to 1965 with several specialty albums added due to volume of material I have acquired. At this point I am focused on Canada and British America. I am always on the lookout for stamps and covers with postmarks from communities in Queens County, Nova Scotia. I do list various goods including stamps occasionally on eBay as hdm50

I was mounting a St. Christopher stamp this evening and I have this certificate sitting between pages in my album from The Royal Philatelic Society for the SG 24 dated 22 March, 1995. When I first found this in a box of stamps I bought I got excited thinking it must be a valuable stamp. Such is not the case with recent sales going for under 10.00 CDN. It makes me wonder if maybe RPC was doing free expertizing at a show. I cannot imagine some one feeling the need for an expert opinion on a such a low value stamp. Then again maybe I am missing something here.

Although the stamp may have 'minimal' value hdm1950 , the certificate does validate the kiss or doubling of the overprint and a particular nice one at that. Still, even if we were to double the 10$, you would be hard-pressed to justify having it examined and expertised at the price. Nice to see though and thanks for showing... Have fun and happy collecting!

Hugh, hdm1950, in Stanley Gibbons Commonwealth & British Empire Stamps this stamp is catalogued, used only with double surcharge, at £1,500. Your certified kiss print version may be worth more than you think... Daniel

I have purposely kept it as found just in case it is more important than I think.

While I have awoken this thread here are the stamps that my dad and I have accumulated. Most have been added by me. The red brown 2 1/2 pence arrived yesterday. There are 2 low valued ones that have faults that are waiting for an upgrade.
