Scott lists “double overprint” varieties for the Saar 1920 Germanic overprints. I’m curious if this might be a double - Or - is this just heavily inked? Thanks for giving your opinion. Thanks for looking .

Ah, another little area we both like lol. Saar has fascinated me for a number of reasons.
I only have Scott to reference on this--my initial reaction would be on the conservative side, just because the Double Overprints are worth so much more.
Might be worth having someone who specializes in Germany/Saar to take a look, though. It is definitely a heavy inking.

Saargebiet False Stamp/Falche briefmarke Michel nbr. 44 5 pfg. Saargebiet have a lot of false overprints and also false postmarks so you have to be carefull just like you have to with Danzig, Memmel usw. Here is no doubt false 5 pfg. mitchel 44 overprint is to long and is poorly made
