My name is François and I'm from the Montreal Area in Quebec.
My collecting interests are mostly Canada (mint, errors & varieties, cinderellas), but also anything related to EXUP or CAPEX philatelic exhibitions.
Very curions about everything related to philately, I believe this forum will be a great source of learning and sharing!
Happy collecting to all!

Welcome to TSF, François ( FDI)! It's great to have you with us. I am from the US, but currently living in the UK. I am a WW classic-era collector, but I have a special fondness for early Canada. I have visited Montreal a few times in my life, and I think it is a great city. I hope that I will have the chance to see it again one day.

Well, that's simply not nice for Québec City, but I won't quibble that point. Except to say that both Paris and Brussels lie north of Montreal...

OK, Xavier ( hrdoktorx), serves me right, I suppose. I wasn't trying to offend anyone! I like Quebec City very much, but I loved Montreal.... so for me, it's the northern capital of French-speaking places! I should have known better than to let myself get emotional when making a post. I suppose that I have been cooped up way too long now, and my emotions have clouded my map-reading abilities! -Chris

We’ve visited both many times, but Quebec City more recently, so now it’s Montreal’s turn, staying in the Old Port area

Enjoy ! cursus - not the right time to travel to Montréal as they are still "red" for covid 19, as I am sure you know........but in the future....enjoy, also ! René

I've already been to Montreal and Quebec, in 1990. Nowadays, I prefer driving my own car through West and Central Europe (France, Switzerland, Germany, Austria...). No need to cross the pond! I'm getting old.

René, I too spent five years in la Vielle Capital. Did my studies at Université Laval. I am very biased, I love Quebec. I do love Montreal as well. Get there often for day trips or weekend to enjoy some of the best food ever. David
