This issue is full of variety stamps for those inclined to look for these. I just found this Constant Flaw in the 13c Charlottetown stamp. It is called the Golfball in the Grass variety for the dot in the Lower Left.

Here's one more from the 50c of this issue. I believe this is #17 on the list below and looks like a Reentry to me.

I never knew!
I'll have to take a look at what I have...
...and having just checked mine - nothing. All clean, no extra bits anywhere.

Thanks for sharing jimjung ; I had a look at my set as well and found nothing out of the ordinary or expected. I did see though that the year of '1935' was part of the stamp design in all of the series's issues but one, I could not find the date on the 20 Cent issue... Happy collecting!

It took a while, but the date is in the leaves in the upper right.

This is the first time I've heard of the Billig's Catalogue. Had a quick look online and had a hard time finding much information. Was it a one-time publication? What range of Canadian stamps did it cover? Thanks for posting this jimjung; it has piqued my interest.

What I collect: My main collecting area is focused on Canadian stamps printed from steel engraved plates. Specifically re-entries and constant plate varieties.

Information on Billig's Specialized Catalogues:
Volume 7, CANADA, Constant Plate Varieties, Hans Reiche. Published by Fritz Billig 168-39 Highland Ave. Jamaica, N. Y.
There were 7 volumes: Vol. 1 Austria, Vol. 2 Czechoslovakia, Vol. 3 Norway, Vol. 4 Greece, Vol. 5 France, Vol. 6 Private Local Posts, and Vol. 7 Canada.
I have the Canada volume. It starts with The 3c Jubilee and ends with the airmail issues. Not all the varieties are pictured but quite a few are. A nice reference for flyspecking.
Billig published quite a few handbooks and other references for a number of countries and topics.

What I collect: I collect world wide up to 1965 with several specialty albums added due to volume of material I have acquired. At this point I am focused on Canada and British America. I am always on the lookout for stamps and covers with postmarks from communities in Queens County, Nova Scotia. I do list various goods including stamps occasionally on eBay as hdm50

This strip of four .01 George V coils arrived today. I only had a single so thought a pair or strip of 4 would be a nice addition to the series. It was listed as MNH Unitrade 228iii which would be a jump strip of 4 with 3 normal and 1 with the narrow '1' variety. The jump is not very dramatic. The narrow '1' appears to be on the left side of the 2nd stamp from the right but I was not totally convinced so I bid accordingly.
