Horse-carts and mail-trains are gone,but bicycles and tricycles are the everyday delivery-vehicles in cities and towns of Germany today.Scene shows mail re-loading in Prussia,before WW I.

New Zealand : express delivery.In 1939 a new stamp was designed for express delivery that featured a Chrysler-Coupe which was for delivering express mail, apparently this service was cancelled in December 1941 due to the war, consequently a used copy is more sought after than a mint one. The block of 6 below, was possibly cancelled to order in 1947

A horse 🐎 was essentially a postal vehicle back in 1860. One of the most world-renowned transportation methods of mail with possibly the shortest lifespan was the pony express of 1860 that only lasted for around 18 months.  "Postkutsche in den Bergen" (mail-stage-coache in the mountains), etching (1816) by Joann Adam Klein (1792 - 1875).
Issued June 15th,1964 (from a set of 8) To me this stamp is the possibly finest engraved stamp of Austria ever.
