Hello to everybody on this site. Thank you to the moderators for accepting my application to join. I live in the Black Country, which is an area of the West Midlands in the centre of the United Kingdom. It used to be a very industrial area which manufactured just about anything. I am now in my 60s, and follow in my father's footsteps. He collected stamps from islands (mainly Commonwealth) and enjoyed attending auctions. I am not as keen as he was, and I limit my interests to Spain, Spanish colonies and Andorra. I have amassed a large collection and am looking forward to reading member's threads to see if I can contribute or learn. Apart from stamps, my interests include ferrets and football. I live in Ecuador now but am very familiar with the Black Country.I was brought up in Birmingham,close to West Bromwwich and my parents were from Smethwick and Oldbury.I am also an Albion supporter...but please don,t hold that against me.....

I am also an Albion fan - a season ticket holder and hoping we can finish the season in style and get promoted. I live in Coseley so I am occasionally hackled by Wolverhampton fans in the Beacon Hotel in Sedgley, my local pub.
I imagine that you moved to Ecuador because of the weather!
Also thanks to hrdoktorx for welcoming me. My Andorran collection is only Spanish, alas, but I may expand to the French.

I recently rejoined this forum after a layoff. Back then I, kind of, specialized in the early issues of Spain. Always interested in batting around information on the subject.

Welcome Peter, from Catalonia, the Andorra Southern neighbour. Although I no longer collect Andorra, but I've some stamps and covers from there and I thinking on perhaps starting to collect Andorra again.
Perhaps, I'll be there on early August as it's just 200 km from my home (Barcelona), and I want to visit the Andorra Postal Museum in Encamp. I also pick Spanish colonies in Africa used stamps whenever I find them.
I hope you'll enjoy your time here.
