Hi everyone, I inherited my dad's collection many years ago. He was an international collector, but plenty of US stamps as well. Finally at a point in my life where I can put some time into organizing it. I'm currently located in Phoenix, AZ and while COVID has everything closed, I did find there's a few shops nearby. A-Z Stamps in Tempe seems like a good one, claims to be the second largest US show dealer. Have plenty of newbie questions from types of pages & mounts to use (and where to affordably find them) to how best to organize the collection I want to keep. My primary collection hobby is baseball cards.

seanfromit , welcome to our Forum! I also inherited my Father's collection and each time I work with it brings back a flood of good memories. Many of your questions may already have been asked and answered in the three boards of the General Information category. If not, don't hesitate to post your question(s). Your status has been adjusted so you are now able to post in most other Forum areas. If you have questions or encounter any problems, send me a message and I'll try to help.

Welcome to TSF, seanfromit! When I joined TSF in Nov-2016, I was living in the Prescott, Arizona area. It is beautiful country. I enjoyed that. I left there in the spring of 2018, and have been living in Europe since then, currently in the UK. I still have some baseball cards.... my all-time favorite is the Topps 1965. I have the complete set. Anyway, welcome again, and enjoy your time with us! Best Wishes, Chris (aka Beryllium Guy)

Thanks all! cjoprey two questions. For UK stamps, it looks like the most focus is on older sets. I have newer sets like the Doctor Who 50th. Are there any free album pages for newer UK stamps that you would recommend? Also, how's your experience been with Colnect? Is it worth my time to inventory my collections there? I have been trying to find a good baseball card & stamp swap.

...I did find there's a few shops nearby. A-Z Stamps in Tempe seems like a good one, claims to be the second largest US show dealer. You are lucky to have a brick & mortar shop close to you seanfromit and although I have had no personally dealings with A to Z stamps they do support the collector community.
Having just received my copy of "The Rookery Report", the official publication or newsletter of the Penguins on Stamps Study Unit (POSSU), I note that worldwidestamps.com has co-sponsored the ATA/POSSU booth during previous national shows and as such are at least worth a visit. If you get the chance, please share a photo from your visit - Visit to a Stamp Store...
Happy collecting!
