Hi Everyone, I'm UK based and am currently rekindling my stamp collecting hobby. I have a pretty good (well I like it) British collection pre-decimal and am now branching out to other countries focusing on pre-1980 in most cases. I enjoy buying and sorting through kiloware bundles as there is always a couple of surprises to be found in most cases. For my "world" collection I'm currently printing my own album pages on nice card and using stamp mounts before storing in standard lever-arch folders. That might make a number of you shudder but I'm still finding my feet and trying to keep the costs down. I also track my collection using Stamp Mate software which I really like, it takes a little getting used to but after learning the ropes with it it does become a very useful tool. That's about it really. Cheers, Mark

Welcome ro TSF Mark from Northern California.
Lots of folks here making their own pages. I make my own and place in sheet protectors in 3 ring binders (works fine for me!)

Welcome from East Anglia mark - no need to put down how you store your stamps - we've got everything here from stamps in shoe boxes to fully fledged self-designed albums! your approach is perfectly reasonable. Looking forward to seeing some of your pre-decimals on the forum!

Clive Thanks Clive. I will check that thread out fully and post some examples of my own pages. I almost took the plunge and bought some album page creator software but ended up paying for an annual sub to stampalbums.com instead which I've found very good, at least so far. Cheers, Mark

Cheers, Mark Hi Mark, The Steiner pages from stampalbums.com are a wonderful resource, unfortunately though he follows the Scott catalogue which is not as widely used outside of North America. The SG catalogues and layout are far more prevalent in the UK. If you do get to the point where you would like to create your own pages, before spending money on software give AlbumEasy a try. This is absolutely free - link in my signature. It is not for everyone though, so you may or may not get on with it The introductory video/tutorial could be useful in helping you decide whether it is for you. Clive
