Dual Nationality should give me the right to post again here shouldn't it ? Yeah, why not !! Anyway, I am always calling England, 'home'. There are many stamps to choose from including those of any of the Monarchs. But I have chosen a block I like very much which epitomizes the spirit and determination of the British (football aside)........The Battle of Trafalgar issue of October 2005. One that gave continued freedom from the French . (I might have been a Frenchman, consider that!?) Someone who knew nothing about Britain would be fascinated by the Battle of Trafalgar and the Naval Commander who went against the Navy Rules to win a great victory, Admiral Lord Nelson. The stamps depict scenes from the battle at Cape Trafalgar where Nelson defeated the French & Spanish without the loss of a single ship. But I could always post a Flag................. I have never seen this mini-sheet of stamps before, but it's a perfect example of why I love Great Britain stamps. That is amazing looking. The history is just dripping off the stamps. It just shot to the top of my list of favorite Royal Mail issues. I have to find it now. Why can't the U.S. issue more stuff like this? We just get hip-hop and more Bugs Bunny, although the new Mayflower stamp went a long way to make me feel better. Oh, and Terri nailed it with the U.S. stamp she chose.

I hope you don’t mind latecomers! Because JeffS /s question made me reflect about my perception of Bulgaria. Thanks for this one!
So, *my* Bulgaria is a place where so many cultures, languages, ideas and the signs they use crossed their paths. There is no more appropriate stamp therefore than the one honoring the life and work of an artist, who used visuals and words alike in his work. Cheers!
Shown is Mi 5425Zf ‘75 years since the birth of the artist Stefan Gruev’

As an Englishman, when I saw this thread & read the posts, many GB stamps came to mind which I thought could be added here. The one I picked is a miniature sheet featuring Charles Darwin the renowned English naturalist. His theories about evolution changed the thinking about mankind in many areas. Without evolution where would any country/continent of the world be at now!!

I was born and raised in the USA. My family roots are from Italy. I have dual citizenship. Italy means to me Art, architecture, Family, food and so much more. I started to look through the Italian stamps I have I would have to post at least 20 stamps to cover Italy. But then I looked at the USA stamps. My first-Generation parents, Uncles, and Aunts lived through so much US history from the beginning of the 1900's forward and again so much pride was instilled in me I couldn't find just one stamp. So much history the wars, the opportunity America offered that again I could not find just find one stamp that made me feel both pride and lucky to be an American. America and Italy have a tight bond as it is starting with Americo Vespucci to today.
I am so blessed to have lived my 70 plus years here and enjoy and fall in love with Italy every time I go. That mix is near impossible for me to separate. Nick

I posted an answer a while back but when I look at the world today, this stamp comes to mind. When America takes her might to make the world a better place through peaceful efforts that is when we are at our best. Politics was not the intention of this thread, but look at what's happening in places that used to be part of the British Empire & Commonwealth since they left.
