What I collect: The World...just printing and mounting as I go...call me crazy!

I did my first "unboxing" video this evening on a packet of kiloware I received from the Russian Federation. I hope you like it and any feedback would be appreciated. I am a total amateur at this but have some ideas to do specific topics on my FB page when I get better at what I am doing and learn a few things about making videos.
This is completely jury-rigged. I actually strapped my phone to a fluorescent lamp with a rubber band and held the lamp up with a plastic phone holder from my car. It did the job I needed it to do in the end.

I later translated the text of the stamps on the package as Cologne Cathedral in Germany which was actually fairly obvious when I looked at it.

The envelope is covered with postage stamps that are out of circulation! The seller made the shipment to the detriment of the mail and this letter could be withdrawn for violations of forwarding!

kosmo, are you saying that I should not post this cover or that the seller could have gotten in trouble? I am not sure what your statement about "withdrawn for violations of forwarding" means.

You could be the one who got into trouble! The seller committed fraudulent actions and deceived the Russian postal organization when he pasted such stamps!

kosmo, can you give me more of an explanation as to how I will get into trouble because this seller put stamps on an envelope that I had no knowledge of and did not request? Should I expect the Russian postal authorities to show up at my door?

kosmo , the packet came with tracking. The Russian post office in Penza accepted the package on November 1. Subsequently, the packet was processed through MOSKVA PCI-21 on November 3 and November 6 and finally arrived in the Jamaica, New York international distribution facility here in the US on November 10. If the packet and stamps that were on it are problematic, why did the Russian postal authorities not catch this? I see at least three points during the tracking of this packet that this could have happened.

These stamps can only be used by denomination.1000 old ruble:1 ruble new.The envelope was accepted in violation of postal rules.Further...It seems that postal workers did not respond to this violation.Otherwise, this package is removed from the mailing list!

the letter can be delivered to the recipient (addressee) after paying the full rate of the registered letter when it is received at the delivery Department of the post office where the letter was received. The recipient is notified of the receipt by the usual notification of the receipt of a registered letter. If the recipient refuses to receive or has not received this email within 30 days, the email is sent back to the recipient. Receiving a returned email is exactly the same, but the rate is doubled.

kosmo, thank you for the explanation. At this time I am not actively seeking Russian stamps but certainly add them to my collection when they come my way. I will keep you in mind for the future.

This is a frequent event world wide when there is a change in currency . Often the currency change occurred a number of years ago and the younger postal clerks may not even be aware of it now. I often see letters from France with stamps denominated on Old 1960s Francs which were devalued still used as if the new Franc rate. sometimes GB pre decimal stamps of 1970 will appear as if they are new decimal pence . Russian postal Clerks are not alone . I had a letter from Italy with about 10 stamps on it , some Euro and many old Lire .

For the Italians it is possible Alex vikingeck...., the Italian Ministry of Finance, with a resolution of the Euro Committee published on March 4, 2003, has "considered" that "stamped values with face value expressed only in lire retain their validity even after the 1st January 2002 for an indefinite period and can be used while stocks last.

I've been reading this thread with great interest. You mean to tell me, they could actually come after the receiver in instances like this? Seems harsh.

I doubt that. Maybe if the recipient was in Russia, they'd do something. But it should fall on the sender!
