The way I would treat them in my collection would to take the value of a regular FDC. Then consider a percentage extra for the “ uniqueness “ of the cover.
just keep in mind that catalog values are very rarely achieved when sold. Also consider who would be interested. A specialist in trees, forestry etc may be willing to pay for this uniqueness.
The only real real measure of value in my opinion is what what a buyer is willing to pay.
This is just my approach to values of my items. Over all value is not important. I does become important when planning on insurance and estate planning.
Just my thoughts. I am sure others have insights and can add to this conversation.

The Unitrade catalog provides values for First Day Covers. My 2014 edition provides valuations ranging from $1.10 to $1.65 for stamps of that series.

For those who want to know, information on the values given for FDCs in my 2015 Canada Unitrade catalogue are on page 16. Took me a while to find it, but the information is there.
