It's high time there was a place here for Swedish officials. It is not a huge collecting area; they were used a few decades, but there aren't many variations, and they're rather bland. But every Sweden classic collector must have a bunch.
This one confused me. The stamps are officials, Facit Tj 1a, 4b (2 x 3 + 6 öre). Here they’re on an official announcement. What’s happening? A collector in Sweden set me straight. Addressed in blue crayon to ‘Magistraten (district court judge) Söderhamn’, with a 2 for double postage. Postage for an official announcement (kungörelse) or printed matter was 6 öre, or half the usual letter rate; and 12 öre double postage, 1874-77. These were bulk mailed to county seats like Gävle for forwarding to smaller towns like Söderhamn, in the same county.
The document is a general update, with information about wanted persons and other dreary matters. Very routine, but it looks sharp. Large; I have no idea how to display it.

I don't think I've seen blackletter on Swedish printed material before - was it common in the 19th century?

I don't think I've seen blackletter on Swedish printed material before - was it common in the 19th century? Ryan This is the first in my experience, but that doesn't mean much. I asked someone more knowledgeable for help. They were so quick with an explanation, I almost had to duck. That's probably answer enough.
