Hello Can I ask a question, I have bought an album with blank white pages. How do I stick the stamps in? I have seen albums with black pages and cellophane strips in rows into which you simply insert the stamps is this easier? As opposed to mounting into the album I have bought? The album I bought was SG Devon with about 200 pages in it.
Any thoughts & advice would be appreciated. Martin.

Thanks for your post, Martin ( nagachilli ). Here is a thread on TSF on the subject of using stamp mounts: thestampforum.boards.net/thread/304/tips-using-stamp-mounts?page=1On the first page of that thread, there is also a link to a YouTube video on using stamp mounts. The old-fashioned way is using hinges, and here is a thread about that: thestampforum.boards.net/thread/2223/using-stamp-hingesThe books with black pages with strips in them are generally called "stock books" rather than albums. Albums are normally with pages that can be either pre-printed with country names and spaces and such, or even with blank pages where you can do the layout yourself. Many of our members do DIY album pages. Bottom line: there are many options for organizing and mounting (or not mounting) your collection!

Martin,
As well, there is not really a "right" or "wrong" way to display your stamps. Do what ever feels best for you and fits in to your budget. There are many examples that can be found in various threads in the Forum. Just enjoy what you are doing.

The one item to avoid for attaching stamps to paper is tape or glues. You want something that allows the stamp to be removed.
