What I collect: Mainly US, but also world

As I stated, for the US stamps I use the Harris Liberty albums. The world wide will be all made from scratch. but on to the question...
I have a lot of sheet sets, and I mean a lot. I do know a block consists of the actual border showing the block position in the actual print job. (If I am thinking incorrectly, please correct me down the correct path)....
Now I do know that most blocks have 4, or sometimes 6, depending on the series. But in saying this, what do I do with the sheets? as in a sheet set of 40, or 50, or even 60, usually that will fit a Rotman PS 100 (aka 9x11, or larger) Would, or could I have an entire album dedicated to just sheets? and how would I also number them? I know general blocks have a letter "a" after the scott number, or maybe a "b", but have never seen one for a whole sheet. How might I go about doing this? any thoughts, or even a standard for that matter.
Thanks in Advance, Ray

Hi there, Sheets do not have specialized catalog numbers in Scott. You could certainly have an entire album dedicated to sheets. The sheets I have are in sheet file folders. This is an example (I am in no way intending to promote this particular vendor): Lighthouse Mine Sheet File. Other than that, how you set up your collection is entirely up to you.

As for cataloging, as smauggie said, there are no separate numbers or suffixes for sheets. It's simply a sheet of Scott #xxx. And Scott does not typically price them either. For pricing, I've seen dealers cite the Brookman catalog, as it prices sheets (at, I think, a pretty aggressive retail value). You could probably get just a good a sense of value from checking the listings of US sheet dealers. However, something you might be interested in is the Durland plate number catalog. For a variety of reasons, some plate numbers are relatively uncommon, and if you happen to have a sheet of those, that'd be a good thing to know, I think. Here's a blog post from about 2 years ago from the director of the APS Philatelic Library about the Durland, to help give you a feel for it: blog.stamplibrary.org/2019/02/06/resource-of-the-month-durland-plate-number-catalog/

The Scott catalog defines their recommended collecting format (block of 4, 6, strips of 3 or 5, etc) for issues. For modern coils, some specialists recommended more per plate number coil.
For the older 40 or 50 sheets, you can buy a mint sheet album. The one have is like a protective sleeve with side and top open. There is a black backing so you can have 2 per sleeve.

Thank you al for your thoughts on this. I did some searching online, and the closest book just for "full" sheets is Lighthouse. not a larger book, but it is large enough. But I am still looking into using the one of the Liberty albums just for them. just would need to get some blank pages, then use them maybe.
Again thank you all....

I will toss out another idea for sheets that comes from the scrapbook hobby.
We R Memory Keepers We R Classic Leather D-Ring Album 12"X12. You can find them on amazon, They can store large itens,
These are standard 3 ring binders that come with protective sleeves. The downside is that 12x12 paper is mostly a crafting product so not cheap. But, it can hold anything 3 hole punched,
I actually use the 8 1/2x11 version and did purchase one of these to see what it was like.
One key aspect of these binders is they have thick covers with a soft cover and can rest on shelf without falling over.

Mine is a DEDICATED book for sheets, by H.E. Harris (1978) Got it from my late dad and it serves very well its purpose. I used a lot of sheets in Florida while RVing 5 Winters in a row, for mailing stuff but now it is 75% full of US, CANADA, GB etc René under $20 in 1978 Here is a pic of a sheet (Games of Throne - Royal Mail) in a glassine pocket H.E.Harris 1978 Sheet Album
