Hi all, A side effect of collecting stamps, is collecting nice cancellation. So here is one I have that I want to share with you.

Nice "fancy cancels" done with Cork cancels. By 1870 most P.O.s in Canada had date cancels. The small ones (post office or P.O.) - since they had not received date cancellers, used cork cancels (as killers) - Some used "pen" cancels which look awful (my opinion) An example (already posted) is my Beaver stamp # 1 (Unitrade/Scott) and its bullseye cancelled, nice (1851) My new Avatar !
