Many moons ago I had a subscription with the Royal Mail whereby every new stamp issued was sent to me automatically including first day covers, booklets etc. I remember cancelling it as it was getting expensive but it did mean I never missed any new issues. I would be interested in doing the same thing now but I can’t seem to find the facility any more. My original subscription was in the mid 90’s. Does anyone know if they still provide this service or any info on when it stopped.
Thanks in advance
Graham

Thanks in advance Graham You can place a standing order through their agents WOPA+ in Gibraltar who are agents for multiple stamp issuing authorities. Prices seem to be the same. see here

Thanks Daniel. It’s strange that you have to go to Gibraltar for a GB stamp subscription but worth doing I think. I will investigate further

Thanks Daniel. It’s strange that you have to go to Gibraltar for a GB stamp subscription but worth doing I think. I will investigate further Yes, it is a little strange but the old Philatelic Bureau in Edinburgh appears to no longer exist or, at least, no longer offers a direct service. WOPA stands for World Online Philatelic Agency and is a division of the Gibraltar Philatelic Bureau Ltd, they are agents for about 50 Postal Administrations. Orders are despatched direct by the relevant postal authority who set the prices and postage rates. So, Royal Mail would despatch your order from the UK. You should be aware that British stamps are issued quite frequently. The Year Pack for 2020 cost £166.00 (but is unavailable) to give you some idea. Happy collecting, Daniel

Thanks again Daniel. I will get a direct debit set up asap. Yes it does seem that the Royal Mail are a lot more prolific than they used to be with stamp issues. Some very nice recent issues though.
