The Krochhochhaus (Kroch skyscraper) in Leipzig was finished in 1928. Built by banker Hans Kroch it was an object of controversy. In order to prove, that it would fit in the surrounding buildings, the top four stories first had to be built as a mockup.Only then the final permission was given to finish the 43 m tall building as planned originally.
Issued Feb.26th,1963,the third stamp of the set above.

Goethe´s house in Weimar. Built in1707/09 Goethe rented it (partially) in 1782.In 1807 he finally became the owner. After his death in 1832 his daughter in law inherited the house and lived there with her three children. In 1885,when the last of Gothe´s grandchildren died, the house was given to the city of Weimar and is a museum since then.
The lower stamp shows Friedrich Schiller´s house in Weimar.(see also post in this thread from Sept.8th,2021)

Casa Milà, Barcelona (Catalonia) better known as "La Pedrera" (The Quarry) by our forefathers. Built by Antoni Gaudií at the begining of the XXth century. Perhaps, the most famous house in our city.
