And now my 2nd post - hope this could be helpful to someone. From my collection I scanned all the color shades (all BPP certified) according to Michel. I know my scanner, your screen etc doesn't 100% show the exact right color but it should give you some idea what to look for when you try to decide what color it is. www.philately.se/samla-tyskland/expertis-tips/f-rgnyanser-riket.html

What I collect: currently focused on most of western Europe, much of which is spent on France, Belgium, Germany and Great Britain Queen Victoria

Thanks all - it is my website - in Swedish - hoping to let "youngsters" know a bit more about collecting the German area. Even though it's in my local language I hope it will be of some use to you all.

Very nice website, Thomas ( hagstrom ), thanks for sharing! Color varieties certainly pose challenges for the average collector, but a site like yours that can show direct comparison of stamps scanned under the same conditions definitely helps to promote identification.
