When the postal service in the Comoro Islands was established, each island had its own issues. Here are some from Grande Comore:
This is a set of " 05" and " 10" cent overprints found for many French possessions at the time. The spacing between the numbers of the overprint can be either " normal" or " wide", at it's always worth checking what one has, which I will need to do with these.
Update: After measurement, all normal!

Nice set! All look like normal spacing to me, but always worth a measure.

Scott lists these stamps under Grand Comoro, but I think they really belong under Madagascar.
In 1912, the Comoros were merged with Madagascar. Their remaining stamps were overprinted with 05 or 10 and were valid throughout the enlarged Madagascar colony. Postmarks tend to be from major cities in colonial Madagascar such as Tamatave.
In my own collection, I don't worry about this technical detail. I keep my overprinted groupe type stamps together so that any broadly spaced examples will pop out. Those, if I understand correctly, only come from one plate position.
