A subject I can relate to - I am learning to make bean-to-bar chocolate alongside roasting coffee. Two from Costa Rica showing cacao pods.

One from Colombia. Cacao is kind of odd, as the pods grow out of stems and trunks at seemingly random locations.

Of course, cacao isn't really edible until it is processed. Fermentation and roasting yields 100% cocoa (baker's chocolate). Add sugar, and perhaps milk powder, and you have an edible confection. Apparently, New Zealanders are fond of chocolate fish.

France also came up with a cocoa-scented sheet of stamps, made to look like a chocolate bar and showing events important in the development of the chocolate industry:

Koko Samoa is a hot chocolate drink from a local Cocoa Variety whose unique flavour qualities lend a premium on the world market price. This from 1952 and another from 1968

One of my collecting sub-topics is candy on covers. Here is a cover advertising Baby Ruth Candy bars, a chocolate-related product. I ate a bunch of Baby Ruths as a kid. They were still a nickle then or you could buy a giant one for a quarter. Baby Ruth dates back to 1920 and remained a staple of the Curtiss Candy Company until 1981 when it sold out to Nabisco. The candy bar is still made and sold, but now by the Ferrara Candy Company. The reverse of this cover advocates melting a Babe Ruth to use as a topping for ice cream.

I spy at least one chocolate popsicle in this set from the summer of 2018. They were marketed as USPS' first ever scratch-and-sniff stamps. Gimmicky? Probably, but I like 'em.
