I'm having difficulty determining a catalogue number for this stamp. It seems German but the 3 kronen value has me wondering since it is nether marks or pfennig.

Not German. But Austria….hence the currency in Krone ( crowns)
the name change to Deutschosterreich occurred with the breakup of the Austrian Empire and Kingdom at the end of the World War I
with the loss of Hungary , Slovenia , Czechoslovakia , Bosnia etc. what was left toAustria was the German speaking bit , hence Deutsch…
the stamp is from. 1919 #307

One other point of interest about these and several other Austrian stamps is the paper which has tiny coloured threads throughout . So called “ granite “ paper.

Yes, i did notice the thread fibers, some of which appear in the scan and assumed it was the granite paper. The paper even feels somewhat different than other papers.
