Question about the Flags of our Nation coil stamps that came out in 2008. I have all these stamps and they come in strips of 5 stamps. There were 10 stamps issued every year. Were there one coil of 10 stamps, or were there two coils of 5 stamps.
You obviously can't fit more than 5 stamps on a page in a strip, so I am wondering if dealers broke the se-tenannt in half into 2 5 stamp strips, or if there were 2 different coils issued, or if the single coil had some king of break between the first set of 5 stamps and the second set of 5 stamps.

I read the postal bulletin that they were issued in strips of 50 with 10 different designs so you could have 1 10 design strip. Scott then declared a 5 design strip as the collecting format..
I ended up just separating the coils and mounting as singles.

I found a seller that has them in strips of 10.
I see in the Scott catalog they list the "a" variety as a strip of 5, and that catalog says every strip of 5 has a plate number.
I really wonder why the USPS makes things like this that can't possibly fit on an album page.
