I couldn't find anything on this theme so here are some of my findings. I have a small album and never tire of watching it. Ads from the past that sometimes leave no one indifferent, markers of an era. Of course I can help with the classification having a reference work. And if ever I still collect them... You can see double pubs but also one with offset stitching on Pétain. Also put your stamps for the pleasure of the eyes.

I do not know - I collect France but they sometimes go overboard Typical France - my 1st Ancestor* to Canada arrived in the 1600s, in Québec - from the Normandie region so I have to be decent about my opinions *Marin Boucher was born in Mortagne, Perche province, France about 1587 and died on 25 March 1671 in Château-Richer,Quebec, Canada, New France (Nouvelle-France)

Very interesting!
Do you know if those messages were printed on the sheets as a mean to promote National economy between the two wars, similar to the "Buy goods made in Canada" cinderella's, or they were just publicity adds?

Indeed for the Pétain it was politics/propaganda but for the others it was really advertising where companies pay to promote themselves.

There were a great variety of advertising labels with the Germania stamps in booklets of German stamps early last century, and I think they included the world's first proper se-tenant stamps from 1913.

Hi racatrian I love these stamps with advertising. I have two, Yvert-Tellier 192 and 199. Do they come from booklets? Where do I find in YT the description of these advertisements?I see that you have them noted with "Pub 1,etc"

The booklets with advertising labels are indeed labelled in French catalogs. For instance, in my Cérès 1996 catalog (which is the most detailed French catalog I have), there are about 15 pages of listing of booklets, and each advertising sponsor is listed separately.

In a Yvert et Tellier France from the 2000s there was a detailed description made of the advertising possibilities found according to stamps, types, top to bottom. I had made a copy of this study but can no longer say when this Yvert appeared exactly. Having a lot of occupations for this day I hope to give you an example of this copy tonight (French time 😉).

As promised here is the Yvert and Tellier classification that I use. I chose the detailed part for the 25c sower (I know some people like this stamp😉)

Here are all of mine,l minus one "Grey Poupon" which I can't seem to locate, but I remember finding it in a lot -and it is a brand recognized in the US as far back as I can remember... "Pardon me, have you any Grey Poupon?"
..." But of course!"

Where do I find in YT the description of these advertisements?I see that you have them noted with "Pub 1,etc" For Benjamin, it is necessary to study the sower type. Chez Yvert Benjamin is possible in two different pubs for type IV or type IIA sower. If sower type IV existed only Benjamin at the bottom otherwise if sower type II then possible to find at the top or at the bottom. Very very common rarity rating. For the 30c semeuse 6 different advertisements exist at the top or bottom. Fairly common rarity as well. It's pretty when they are still attached, though!

Art vivant: exists at the top or bottom with type I and IIA timbre. For pastille I have to do a little research. I lean, perhaps, for Ricqles-Veramint for the moment.

racatrien - thanks for the "Pub" list example. In my 2018 YT it doesn't show up. I don't understand why in the catalogue 140g (Type II with advertising band) it only values 25 Euro, while in the "Pub" list the values are much higher. Why is it not specified (for the first examples) in the "Pub" list the booklets they come from?
