What I collect: It's complicated....

I'm struggling with the stamps in the upper right corner. The two together make up a series, so I want to keep them together, but I'm not sure the best way to do that. Unless you're dead set upon keeping the stamps in exact chronological order (which is punishment-gluttony in its own special way), consider moving the two Majesty of Women stamps with the Order of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes (is that alliterative in Ukrainian as well?). It will slightly symmetricalize the top row and shift its balance a little bit away from the right edge, which is holding a lot of weight already. @ 1. Don’t waste space stating the obvious. For example. The miniature sheet… we can see it is a miniature sheet. And by golly, there are stamps. We can see that. 2. Order of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes - in your text, the word “order” should likely be capitalized as it is a proper noun. What are the Euromaidan Protests? 3. Don’t repeat heading description in text as with your paintings captions. Also, I think the painting title should come first before the artist name, after all that’s what you are showing. 4. Catalog numbers are irrelevant and distracting. It kind of depends on Andy's target audience. If it's somebody who is new to stamps, catalog numbers may be of interest ("Is that how you keep track of them?"), as may the term "miniature sheet". If it's somebody who is more interested in Ukrainian history and art, maybe not so much, though I personally don't think either the catalog numbers nor the miniature-sheet description detract from anything or add any significant bulk to the display. I'll gladly agree with JeffS on Euromaidan; someone who isn't well-versed in current history but who wants to learn more would benefit greatly from at least a line or two about what those protests were; they were integral to Ukraine's (and, I think, to the ex-Soviet bloc's in general) often-painful struggle towards freedom in post-Soviet society, and they offer background on why the Ukrainians are fighting so hard today.

I'm having some brain paralysis here. How would you write the description for the military miniature sheet?

andy Pastuszak Seems simple to me: Honoring (or To honor) the men and women of the Ukrainian army - and list the branches as you have done. edit: And titles of paintings, by convention, should be italicized.

When I am writing up souvenir sheets, I write up a line per row of stamps. So I'd write the stamps in the top row, left-right, one after the other, then repeat on the second line. Of course some sheets require more. It's a play-it-by-ear situation as to how the sheets are written up.
East Germany had a series of narrow gauge railway car stamps a while back. They were in strips of three: Stamp-Label-Stamp. I wrote them up below the frame as...
It all depends on what the item is.
Other examples: My Canadian Christmas stamps are in one section. The past number of years, they each get one page per year, souvenir sheet and die-cuts of the booklet stamps.Just one line is needed underneath the souvenir sheet.
Flower souvenir sheets get two per page. Most info is written ON the souvenir sheet, so nothing is needed under the frame. I keep Value, Unitrade number and Numbers printed in the frame. Great when I need something. Not really necessary when it has been found, but is there if needed.
Of course looking at the these collections, I have changed since doing them a few years ago!

That doesn't feel like a complete paragraph. Let me work on it some more and see what I can come up with.

Gave up on grouping the stamps in the upper right corner. Not really worth it. Updated descriptions; Opinions?

My wife likes the page with Source Sans Pro better than the page with Noto.

I agree with your wife. Source Sans does look better.
Too bad about the grouping. The two on the right were issued the same day, I'd have them closer together, with text linking the pair and separate descriptions. I'd also make the frames much smaller.
I'll pop over to colnect to get the sizes and see what I can come up with.

Before anything is said, I don't know anything about Ukrainian stamps. Colnect is a good resource, but is sadly lacking in souvenir sheets. Ukraine was missing this sheet. There are many Canadian not listed either! Who doesn't collect souvenir sheets? Apparently the collectors inputting data. But...here is what I came up with. I have just recently ditched borders leaving more room for stamps. I also truncated info, as I thought some was needless. If people want more, do what I do: Wikipedia, or just search. I added the red border to just show the edges of the page.
That's more or less what I would do. The following issue is a set of 4 textiles. I thought Chernobyl would be better suited to this page, than atop the textiles!
I also used Graphic vice Album Easy, as AE is such a pain when dealing with multiple sets on one line! How many spaces do you have to type to separate the two? I lost count!

Uh-oh... for the font geeks out there...
Year: Charter bold 16pt. Stamp header: Charter, 10 pt. Date: Charter 8pt. Text inside frame and under: Jet Brains Mono 8pt. Titles of paintings is JBM 8 pt. medium italic For added interesting data if needed: Charter Italic 8pt.
Since this would be in an album specifically for Ukraine, I don't bother adding that to every page.
And yes, the dimensions of that souvenir sheet is just a guess. 3mm padding added all around (stamp dimension + 6mm) every frame.

Colnect does have Souvenir Sheets. But they're at the end after all the stamps.
You've inspired me. Let me go try something.

Hi Andy
By virtue of the screen shots they look pretty good. I do have one question. The catalog number under each box. Can it be put inside the box? I know that once stamps are added it will probably be covered up. Is it really necessary to be visible all the time? I think it will look even better without the cat number showing.
Working in IT does make one "thick skinned". I worked as a Systems Analyst consultant for years. I have been called every name in the book, insulted like one would not be believed, etc..

Jerry B I really want the numbers outside the box. All the albums I have with catalog numbers that get hidden when you mount the stamp annoy me. Maybe it's the IT guy in me that wants more data.
