An attractive coffee table book with lots of info but how does it fit with a stamp collection? These do have a place but I find them difficult to deal with. Last year I was asked to assess and help a lady sell a number of similar books , volumes with text and an array of covers from the 1980’s .i Her late Dad had bought these “Sumner Collections”. by subscription in the 1980s . I hope he enjoyed having them at the time , they were obviously expensive productions where the albums far out weighed the stamp content and sadly the resale value for his daughter is tiny. Historic stamps of Britain …..I sold the stamps separately, Kings and Queens I was able to sell the covers, but postage on the albums was too much Indeed I still have 4 of these I’d love to find a market for….Charles & Diana Royal Wedding anyone? Over 100 covers !

I don't find them difficult to deal with. They're an entertaining read, with cool cachets on covers, and covers are a part of stamp collecting.

I am not knocking cover collecting ! I have many many covers in my collection, and I did find a home for a lot similar to your Kings and Queens. please continue to enjoy. It is just that I am frustrated, having offered to help sell for a friend , just how bulky and difficult to find a buyer willing to accommodate such large volumes at even a tiny fraction of what her Dad spent . If we were nearer I would offer the album with 100+ Charles and Diana covers to a .good home. Sadly it is so heavy it would sink the Titanic and cost a fortune $$$ to ship.
