Hello people. I can't find this in the SG Austria & Hungary 8th edition catalogue. As far as I am aware ther are 2 listings in the catalogue. J30 & J31, J67 & J68. The below image is small shield (type II), but the catalogue only lists type I. Either the catalogue has a typo, I'm overlooking something or I have something not listed. Which is it? I realise this stamp is damaged but I would like to know what it is. Many thanks.

I do not have SG, but this is from Michel Osterrich-Spezial 1995 and i believe #2 is your stamp (although admittedly hard to get a good perspective from their cancelled image versus yours i will leave it to you to translat if it looks like a match

Hello.
The stamp has no watermark that I can see. Maybe it is a typo in the SG catalogue. It looks to be No.2 in the specialised catalogue.
Thank you.

I only can see 5 bars in the shield (above and below the center9?) emblem(?)
Leads me to think it is the earlier issue
can you see even a trace of a watermark?
If none I would be concerned this is a possible forgery

What I collect: I collect world wide up to 1965 with several specialty albums added due to volume of material I have acquired. At this point I am focused on Canada and British America. I am always on the lookout for stamps and covers with postmarks from communities in Queens County, Nova Scotia. I do list various goods including stamps occasionally on eBay as hdm50

Let me try this again and include all the Scott listings for Austria Newspaper Tax Stamps. It appears that your stamp would be PR3 and if printed before 1864 there would be no watermark.

Hello all.
It would appear that it is PR3 as HDM1950 has illustrated, & it also appears that there is a typo for this item in the SG catalogue.
Thank you all.
