Hello all. My name is Damien, I live in Tipperary but work in Dublin. I've been collecting stamps on and off for about 40years. I have a big collection of many different countries but for the last 10 years or so I have focused on The Vatican. I still buy alot of material that I like, even if its not The Vatican, but I'd love to know how to do more with my stamps. I'd love to know how to do displays of my stamps snd create interesting write ups. I'm looking forward to reading up on everything here.

Well it’s Kismet! I collect BOTH the Vatican and Ireland, so I am doubly delighted to meet you! If you have a wishlist for the 1960s - 1970s Vatican, either mint or used, I have quite a bit of duplicates for those decades and would be delighted to send you a few as a welcome gift. Happy stamping! theresa in Eastern Florida

Thank you for your welcome and kind offer. I'm sure when I'm out of my probation period I'll be able to help you with some Irish issues. My Vatican collection is almost complete now I just have to get one or two of the more expensive sets in mint condition and I'm finished. After that I think I'll get some FDC's that interest me or perhaps pick up some of the joint issues from countries like Poland and Germany.

Welcome! "It's a long way to Tipperary"... Erin go Bragh!
I remember an old stamp I have from Eire, with the exotic inscription "Bliain i gCoinne". Now that Internet was invented, I see that it means "A Year Against".
