Hi All
Used to collect many decades ago. Received a largish collection from my wife's grandmother. recently retired and decided to sort them out to hand down to the next generation. A lot are pre 1900's and from a lot of different countries, the majority from USA, Great Britain and Europe. Starting with Australia and have already run into problems. I have the 2017 Scott Stamp Catalogue and have found that I have numerous stamps not included in it
Thanks for the future help Steve

What I collect: I collect world wide up to 1965 with several specialty albums added due to volume of material I have acquired. At this point I am focused on Canada and British America. I am always on the lookout for stamps and covers with postmarks from communities in Queens County, Nova Scotia. I do list various goods including stamps occasionally on eBay as hdm50

Welcome Steve. In regards your Australian stamps that appear missing from Scott my first thought is that you may be running into revenue stamps. The main Scott catalogues will not list them.

Hi Steve and welcome!
I thoroughly enjoyed visiting your fine country (and starting my Aussie stamp collection) for six months just before the pandemic. I was five months in Perth and vicinity, and ten days in Tassie, with a brief stopover in Sydney. Can't wait to go back!
