The remaining 2022 Ukraine Support Maxicards resulting from the Stamp Out War project are now entrusted to the Vancouver-based All Nations Stamp and Coin for sale. 56 cards will be listed individually in the coming weeks. The first week of online auction ended well for these precious maxicards that our global team had produced. All 3 cards were auctioned off at a price that is higher than the estimated $20: $27 for the Austrian variety, $36 for the Canadian (Myrnam) and Ukrainian (1992) varieties.    I am excited to see to that there was actual bidding taking place. When I was holding the first online auction on eBay, there was no competition, and every bidder got their preferred card(s) at the lowest starting price that is $20/card. I guess this kind of collectibles sell better in the hands of a specialist. Thanks be given to Brian -- the fellow behind the petition urging Canada Post to issue a semi-postal stamp in support of Ukraine! This week on sale: Canada (Vegreville), Croatia, Estonia, Germany, Netherlands, Poland, Ukraine (1996). __________ From the collector's point of view, it's more advantage to participate in the eBay auction that orientates towards the general public. But from the charity's point of view, donations are maximised in specialist's hands. There will be an eBay auction for the 2023 edition of Ukraine Support Maxicards. Please stay tuned! |

I forgot to post that the results from Portugal came in last week. There are 2 varieties: one (bottom) with the postmark of 24 Aug, another (top) with an additional first-day of cancellation that accompanied the stamp release last year.  |

The result of the 3rd week of auction may be a bit surprising -- This week, the highest price realised ($99) is the French variety created by hrdoktorx !! So far, this is also the second highest price realised overall. The Ukrainian variety (2001) at $82 placed second (or the third overall).  I thought this French variety was the most boring of all -- The village (called Le Temple) where Xavier happened to be was so small and unknown that its name was not even inscribed in the cancel. I was expecting Ukrainian to always be the most popular varieties. I can't say to understand the logic of auction ... Anyways, Xavier, you must be very proud of yourself and your country!

Nice results for the 4th week of auction! We have a new record achieved by Ukraine (2001): $150 !!! My favourite card of all ended up with the second place: $130 !! Germany kept being sold at $110 !  My German friend who helped create this card will be very surprised, as she thought the cancel (called 'socked-on-nose') was badly applied :rofl: |

This week, from Mexico:  Because by the regulation, Mexico Post staff can only cancel stamps that are postally used, so my participant found a creative way of going around the rule:  How clever! |

dorincard -- I really have no idea! All that I know is that most of Brian's clients are Canadians. One of the USA maxicards was sold as part of the complete set. The second card is kept in my possession for an art installation.

dorincard -- Brian said the bidders are mainly his regular clients who got into collecting Ukraine support stamps because of him (he's the fellow behind the petition that urged Canada Post to issue a semi-postal stamp in support of Ukraine).

Received last week from ameis33 : the Italian postmark was not very neat, but we still got a number of usable maxicards – one of them with an attached barcode. Apparently, it’s something typically Italian to collect the latest issues with the attached barcode.  |

Yes, barcodes it's something pretty italian. One of the first issues, the "corriere dei piccoli" of 2008 with barcode is usually sold for more then 200 euro, while the normal stamp is about 0,60...
Another small thing is the blue cancel, while it should have been used the black...
If just the post clerk would have been done a better job, i would have been very satisfied...

What I collect: Germany in all its facets since 1871 (especially German Reich used including postal statinoneries, used), USSR, Austria, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein, Denmark, France. I design all album pages for my collection myself and partly make them available to the general public for use.

rednaxela -- Thank you for your kind words! Well, I am scared because I am not a well-known artist with a following. Plus this is actually my first artwork being monetised -- I have never sold any piece of art before ... (Hmm, rethinking it, I did get paid to photograph some events, but it's more of commercial photography rather than fine art. I don't know if this counts ...)

The long wait is over, and the 2023 Ukrainian varieties are here!  6 were cancelled in Kyiv, another 6 in Lviv. I will decide how to distribute these card for the upcoming auction. I know the Iraqi variety is still travelling to me. But I really don’t know when it will arrive in Canada … |

Finally! I received the #StampOutWar results of Iraq today!  These cards have made the most difficult journey I know of -- they were previously sent twice to me from Iraq, but returned to the sender for being 'unclaimed' after months of travelling. On the third and last trial, I asked the sender to send them with a tracking and signature requirement. They finally made its way to Montreal! No one knows what happens to these cards the all these months following the project's execution date, 24 August 2023. I kind of doubt that they have travelled outside of Iraq the two previous times, because if they had been in the hand of Canada Post, they should have been delivered to me like so many other SOW results from all over the world, but I never received any notification for the two previous deliveries.    Anyways, this post is to announce that the auction of the 2023 Ukraine support maxicards is in preparation. Please stay tuned! |

The auction of the 2023 edition of the Ukraine Support Maxicards by the Vancouver-based All Nations Stamp and Coin is now entering the 4th week. On the 3rd week, interests have been built up and competition became fierce among the bidders. Our 3 cards – Czechia, Falklands Islands and Greece – were all sold at a price higher than $100 CAD!
