Hi All,
I originally from the UK but been in Thailand for work since 1995. I was very keen on my stamps when young, focusing on GB stamps including Channel Islands as family lived there, as I grew up I lost some of the interest and focused on other things. A number of events have brought me back to philately namely Covid and time at home during lockdowns and most importantly my cousin reminding me of the collection put together for the most part by my father on my behalf that is stored in her loft back Devon. I have been going through the stamps I had shipped over many years ago; mostly used stamps on envelopes which I have soaked off and now need to sort, catalogue and workout how best to display and store. I am keen to learn/remember as much as I can about Philately, particularly GB stamps but also now Thai stamps. I hope to head back to the UK in the next few months for the first time in nearly 3 years to go through and ship my collection out to Bangkok. Once this is done I will concentrate on filling in the large gaps in my collection from the last 25+ years which I have started doing but have a long way to go.
Interested to connect with stamp collectors based in Thailand and to absorb as much knowledge as possible from the forum and contribute where I can. Initially I will not be looking at buying and selling but maybe once I get my collection in Bangkok and in better order that is something I will look to do.
