Hello,
I'm Evan. I started stamp collecting as a child but have come back to it again as an adult. I'm based in Leicestershire, UK.
I'm specialising in German postage stamps from the late 19th century through to 2000 - I decided I had to stop somewhere. My collection includes Empire, FDR, DDR, Berlin, Unified Germany, Saar, Occupied Germany and German occupations of Bohemia and Moravia, Poland, Ukraine and the Baltic. I don't collect German colonies. I find the history of Germany fascinating. I'm not so much into the detail of variants, plate flaws, inverted watermarks etc. Its mainly design that gets me interested.
I also have stamp collections of Australia (because I was born there) Sweden and Czechoslovakia (because I love the design and the high printing standards).
I'm looking forward to meeting others with similar interests.

Hello Evan,
I just joined TSF myself, but wanted to say "hello". I am a pretty active collector of the DDR. I find the stamps fascinating, particularly the first decade.

Welcome from Suffolk evan! I love early German stamps (pre WW2), and have a strong interest in Belgian occupation of Germany (and German occupation of Belgium) stamps due to my main interest being Belgium... Look forward to seeing what you have on the forum!
