Cortège passed the end of my street this morning about 11.30. Big crowd and all the side streets blocked with parked cars as folks gathered along the route into Aberdeen.

It is expected that a number of world dignities , Royals, Presidents Prime ministers etc will be invited and want to be present at HM’s State Funeral.
The British Government has requested no private aircraft or Helicopters, please use commercial flights, no private motorcades or personal limos. Dignitaries will travel London by Executive bus.
I wonder how that will go down with those accustomed to heavy personal security?
Joe (Potus) on a bus ?

What I collect: I collect world wide up to 1965 with several specialty albums added due to volume of material I have acquired. At this point I am focused on Canada and British America. I am always on the lookout for stamps and covers with postmarks from communities in Queens County, Nova Scotia. I do list various goods including stamps occasionally on eBay as hdm50

For years he travelled by train between Washington and his home in Delaware almost daily. What his security detail will think is another thing. |

Perhaps carbon footprints are also in the frame as they should be, with all the gas guzzling limos & private aircraft. Charles is the boss now & he is into caring for the environment. |

She was also quite popular in English Canada. My count is approximative, but in the Unitrade catalogue, I've counted over 90 stamps issued since 1939. There are probably another dozen from the BOB and Newfoundland Province.   |
