I found this one last night Scott Catalog 346a. The overprint looks too clean, so I think it's probably a forgery. Is there anywhere I can find information on Polish forgeries online? I've put in a copy of 346 next to it for comparrison.

Thanks for your post, Mr. H. It looks like an interesting stamp! Let's tag Roberto ( ameis33), who is a collector of Poland, to see if he can comment.

I'm not aware of forgeries on this overprint, but i will answer you when i'll be back this weekend. In the meanwhile, you can look at here... www.phila.pl/podstrony/ksiazka/199/160.htmBTW! The right stamp seems have a provisional cancel
The overprints have been done with three different plates, Forma FI, FII and FIII. The left stamps seems belong to FI, the right one FII or FIII.
(But i've never gone so much inside the differences between the three different plates). The plates must not be confused with the two types, typ 1 and typ 2, depending on the position of the dot bteween 1 and 50 in the 1.50 inscription. (you have both of them, even if the left one is in poor conditions) Still i think they're both original

Thanks for checking. My Scott catalog warns of counterfeits of the right one (2019 catalog value $400).
I do have a nice copy in my album of the one on the left, the pictured one will go in my wife's craft box.

I cannot say it is original or forgery. The stamps i have are all the cheapest one, in both type and i never went throught the different overprint plates. For my stamps, considering their value, i've never thought they could be original or not. Your should a valuable one. I still think it is original, or at least until it is proven it's not.
If you want to go in detail, there is an interesting article about this specific stamps on the przeglad filatelistyczny by Schmutz (BTW! A well renowed polish expert)
