I've been a stamp enthusiast virtually all of my youth and adult life, except to some extent during career and family responsibilities, now largely over. Like many others, my interests narrowed over time, from World, then British Commonwealth, British+NZ then NZ stamps, reflecting my birth country (UK) and 1948 adopted country (NZ). I no longer 'collect' in the normal sense of the word, having become interested more recently mostly in the technical and historical aspect of NZ philately, with a side interest in the postage stamps of Sarawak. I should have joined your forum a long time ago. I hope now that it's not too late and that I can learn from and contribute to your posts and other forums.

Kia Ora Geoff & welcome aboard With your knowledge and experience of early NZ you are going to fit in here very nicely. The more the merrier. Plenty of NZ threads here - take you pick, or start a new one. See you around soon. Dave

Welcome to The forum I'm extremely new to Sam collecting myself and at the moment I have no general interest in particular types of stamps I love them all but I do have a higher love for the older stamps the older the better and it doesn't matter where they come from in the world I find stamps from different countries fascinating

Welcome Geoff. I too have had a life-long interest in the stamps of New Zealand but can't claim to be a specialist. Look forward to seeing some of your material.
