After a personal email exchange with PostmasterGS, I learned something interesting about the 2022 Ukrainian stamp program. I thought I would write this up in a post.
As the whole world knows at this point, Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022. This had a HUGE impact on Ukraine. With the Russians using the Latin letters V and Z on their vehicles, Ukrposhta removed all stamps that had the letters V and Z on them. I believe "V" was used as the domestic mail rate for a letter. Not sure what "Z" was for.
So, this is how the Ukrainian stamp program got impacted.
The first stamp issued in 2022 was the Trident stamp:
Because of the V on the stamp, Ukrposhta withdrew this stamp from sale. Copies are out there both used and unused. But the full volume printed never made it into circulation.
The Medobori Nature Reserve Miniature Sheet was supposed to come out on February 25th, but because of the invasion, the stamp was never released.
The stamp also used the letter "V" so the sheet was just shelved.
On February 28th, the Sich 2 stamp was supposed to come out, but the stamp was never released:
This stamp uses the letter "L," so I have to assume this stamp just had unfortunate timing too close to the invasion.
On March 14th, Ukrposhta released this stamp honoring the 150th anniversary of the birth of artists Olexa Novakivskyi
They withdrew this stamp early from circulation because of the "V" denomination on the stamp. New and used copies exist, but only a small fraction of the total print run exists in the collecting market.
Ukrposhta also issues one imperforate stamp titled: Free! Unbreakable! Invincible!
This was supposed to be a miniature sheet available only to philatelic subscribers. But this stamp is for sale on Ukrposhta's website for anyone to order.
There are many more stamps issued in 2022, many war themed. If you wan to know more about them, I will happily make another post.

I’ll note that all of the above except the Sich-2 stamp are available on eBay in small quantities, with prices to match. Particularly the Nature Reserve sheelet. If you’re a Ukraine collector and a completionist, better get them now.

I spoke with my stamp dealer in Ukraine and he told me he has never seen the Sich-2 stamp for sale anywhere. But, at the time of release, he was running for his life from the convoy heading for Kyiv.
I wonder if the people selling these stamps are postal employees that had access to them early.

Oh this is sneaky as all hell! I went on eBay and found this: www.ebay.com/itm/354409350028Ukraine issues this stamp they call the "Self-Stamp" or "My Stamp." The stamp itself is a small rectangle with a blank label above it. You can print any image you want on the label. A lot of people use it to print wedding images for wedding invitations, family crests, etc.
I believe there are kiosks in post offices where you can upload images on a flash drive and print postage. Looks like some enterprising eBay sellers in Ukraine have taken the Sich2 stamp image and printed it on a self-stamp to make a quick buck.

Wow, there is an insane amount of these self-stamps on sale with all sorts of custom images about the war.
They are ALL the same MICHEL catalog number.
They all say RARE. But they're not. Don't get sucked in by this.

The eBay madness continues!
Ukraine has issues military themed stamps since the war started back in 2016. Well, a bunch of eBay sellers are now selling these stamps from previous years as 2022 "war stamps."

Nothing new here to be honest, Ukrainian dealers on Delcampe have been selling these personalized stamps with all sorts of topical interest since the introduction of personalized stamps in Ukraine over a decade ago. In the end they are perfectly legitimate postage stamps and can be used in Ukraine to pay postage, but of course the target audience is topical.collectors.
And Ukraine isn't the only country you see dealers selling "custom made" personalized topical stamps, and these days postal administrations themselves are using their personalized templates to creat limited edition issued that are sold to the general public at prices above (often WELL above) face value. Austria, Japan, France and Netherlands for example issue dozens of these types of issues each year.
Michel and Yvert actually list some of these issues for some countries like India, Greece, Indonesia, Netherlands and treat them as commemorative issues.
So the line between "official" commemorative issues and "personalized" issues has become increasingly blurred over the past decade.

If the official post office of the country, issues the stamp, the maybe it gets a unique catalog number. If it's just some citizen that made these, then they don't get a catalog number.
If I was catalog maker, I would not assign these stamps a catalog number if they don't meet the rules of the catalog.

Ukraine is pulling NO PUNCHES with it's stamp and card issues this year. Just look at this post card:
It's a picture of the back of Putin's head with a Ukrainian soldier grabbing him by the shoulder with the words "Welcome to Hell!" in modern Ukrainian.

And another stamp that was supposed to come out in March and did not get released:
Miniature sheet commemorating artist Kateryna Bilokur.
