What I collect: I collect world wide up to 1965 with several specialty albums added due to volume of material I have acquired. At this point I am focused on Canada and British America. I am always on the lookout for stamps and covers with postmarks from communities in Queens County, Nova Scotia. I do list various goods including stamps occasionally on eBay as hdm50

I have finally accumulated enough stamps and information from the Gaines pages to have a good idea as to what UNESCO gift stamps were available, and when and how they were issued.
I believe all the stamps were issued in booklets of 4 to 18 pages with 10 stamps each (2 rows of 5 stamps). The 1951 through 1953 pages were slightly smaller and contained stamps with blank selvedges. Starting in 1954, the pages are slightly larger and have the country(s) names printed in the selvedge area of each stamp. The 1954 stamps were perfed 10.5 X 12. In 1955, 8 of the 10 stamp designs were re-released with 1 stamp issued with a denomination change, and 1 stamp with the countries changed. These were all perfed 10.5 X 10.5 in '55. After 1955, most stamps were issued again with blank selvedges with the exception of the 1958 Netherlands where the country name was printed; the 1960 olive and brown-orange stamps had the year printed; and the 1961 Workcamp stamps had "Workcamps" printed which incidentally was the only imperf stamp. The last 2 issues were in 1966 and were the only se-tenant pairs of stamps. There were 49 stamps issued in all.
I have included pictures of all the stamps except the 1966 stamps which I have not found yet.

Hi wasjrx51 , I agree that they were issued in booklets. I have one with loose stamps which must have been configured sideways. I'll have to hunt down my booklet to show in this thread. Daniel Did you intend showing images in your post?

wasjrx51Nice collection ! Heads Up : I quoted Bird Bear Press Catalogue #4895 That must be Volume 2, I have Volume 1 and they are not in that catalogue. These Gift cards afford no mention / listing in the United Nations specialists catalogue (The first time I have had to open this catalogue in 15 years)

Here is my booklet from 1954. You seem to have all of the stamps and there is no printed information inside. Glassine sheets separated the stamps. There is an imprint on the back cover which reads "VIA 54 l (D) 2A Printed in Germany Belserdruck". Belserdruck appear to have been printers and publishers in Stuttgart.
