Sure looks like a rotary stamp to me but it would have been an experimental back in March 1914 and no 12 X 12 were officially issued so I know it's never going to get a cert but looks like a rotary, best picture I can get it's still sitting for sale on the website(won't say which one I don't want to promote a site and get in trouble).
Rotary or Flat, just blow the picture up a bit you'll see it better, the flats don't really look like this "brick pattern" I found lots of rotary's and they all look like a brick wall in a good picture.
Let me know,thanks.

Sorry, but very unlikely. Scott US #452 wasn't issued until 11Nov1914, and as far as I know, the earliest known use is 25Nov1914.

Ya that's what I figure, but they were experimenting with them before the release date and thought maybe somebody took the sheets and threw them on the 12 X 12 machine and they got out, never prove it though and never get a cert but pretty kool to have because does it ever look like a rotary,if it was a dollar I'd get it but it's more than 20 bucks for the postcard, still might though see what you guys say.

What I collect: I collect world wide up to 1965 with several specialty albums added due to volume of material I have acquired. At this point I am focused on Canada and British America. I am always on the lookout for stamps and covers with postmarks from communities in Queens County, Nova Scotia. I do list various goods including stamps occasionally on eBay as hdm50

Nice postmark for a small mining community which appears to be almost a ghost town now. That may be as important as the postcard image. No comment on the stamp because it is out of my area of collecting.
