Issued on 10 December 1979 in a series 'History of Bulgaria - Paintings' (Bulgaria) The stamp is titled "D. Blagoev editing a newspaper Employee" (I have seen this stamp called this on various sites, it may have lost something in translation - Google translate?) The artist was Dimitar Gyudzhenov. Dimitar Blagoev (1856–1924) was the founder of Bulgarian socialism.

It was an American, Jacob Perkins, who was responsible for the technology behind the printing of the Penny Black.
I bet a lot of Philatelists don't know this.
