This cover brought glad tidings today. And I don't recall seeing a UK vended postage like this in my mail before.

rod222 "Post and Go," hmm, thank you for the info and the link. As I said, the first to come my way. They certainly are a colorful lot. I bet one will wait years to find all values legitimately used for postal purpose. EDIT: I note my example states EUROPE and not FIRST CLASS. Did I get annexed?

Until this year April there was a less expensive letter rate to Europe, a hangover from pre Brexit days . There were some forever stamps designated “E” . In April Royal Mail set the rate for all international letters at £2.20 And so a European rated stamp suddenly becomes equivalent and acceptable as an all world letter under 100g irrespective of destination.. so you Americans have just become European..or more likely you Europeans have just become rest of the world! When regular 1st class mail was £1.10 two GB 1st class was exactly the international £2.20. In October a rate bump for inland to £1.25 means scrabbling around for a load of smaller stuff to make £0.95 to add to a 1st class forever toget to£2.20

I'm in the UK and have had a similar experience. I received one today but in the last few years I have probably only received a handful of them which is strange. There seems to be plenty of these illustrated versions produced in packs for collectors, but I wonder if they serve any genuine purpose. Does anyone else have any experience of receiving them on their post? Here is the one i received today:

So, it would appear that these Post and Go stamps are coming to an end at the end of this year, see here. Daniel
